I have a Nexus 6P running Android 7. Starting very recently, perhaps just today, whenever I try to synchronize to my remote database on dropbox, I get "Exception of type Java.Lang.Exception was thrown". I've tried clearing the application's cache. I'm afraid to clear data because I don't want to lose the ability to access the local copy of the database. I've tried this on two separate databases. I've checked my dropbox permissions. In the absence of a more useful error message or even a stack trace, I have no idea what to try or what may be wrong. I'm not sure when the last time I updated my database was, but I'm 99% certain it's been since the last time I've updated the phone.
At this point, I'm unable to see newly added entries, so I'm a little stuck. What information can I provide to help? Thanks. I'm a software developer (not Android though), and I know my way around my phone, so feel free to ask me to install a test version of an app, change a setting, grab something off the file system, etc.
