Dear Developer, I am very happy to you an App like yours to keep my Password Secure.
My Database File is Keept on a secure Owncloud Server with WEBDAV, but to keep the App beeing able to open the Database File I had to disable some Security Features on the Server als listed below.
(Commented Lines are the ones that dosent work)
With the Settings Enabled the App keeps telling me Errors in Authentification with the Server.
Seems like it uses Old Ciphers or dosent Support Elyptic Curve Ciphers.
Thanks For Fixing

Commented Unassigned: "load OTP-help file" button for challange-response opens the "file open" dialog instead of YubiChallange [406]

### Description

"load OTP-help file" button for challange-response opens the "file open" dialog instead of YubiChallange. I download some apks from the website here. The error appears since version 0.9.8-pre2 (online version of keepass2android). Version 0.9.7-pre1 and before works. The YubiChallange app is always installed (version 1.0).

### Observed behaviour
the open file dialog (the same as when you select database file) appear if you press the "load OTP-help file" button

### Expected behaviour
YubiChallange app waiting for the yubikey should appear if you press the "load OTP-help file" button

### Reproduce

1. open any file
2. choose the master password type "Password + Challange-Response"
3. Press the button "load OTP-help file"
4. the open file dialog (the same as when you select database file) appear instead of the YubiChallange app waiting for the yubikey

### Environment

* Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
* Android 5.1.1
* YubiChallange version 1.0.
* keepass2android 0.9.8-pre2 (online version of keepass2android) and 0.9.7-pre1 (various other tested)
Comments: Hmm, I had the same issue after some local modifications and finally find that my .xml File with the parameters for challenge/response was missing. After re-adding it, I needed to select the __xml file__ after clicking on "load OTP-help file" once - et voila, YubiChallenge was opened. From now on, it again was opened automatically right after clicking the OTP-file button as expected. So I wonder if the same happened to (some of) the other reporters here, too and if they also just forgot that they need to select the xml once after local modifications (e.g. Update to Android marshmallow shuffling local mount points so that old path to xml gets invalid)...

Comments: Regarding “issue solved by restoring backup“: this might have brought back the internally cached version of the xml?

Commented Unassigned: Closing and Saving Database On Google Drive Does Not Sync [572]

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue. It used to work fine and I'm not sure if something changed in this app or Google drive. But, I used to be able to pull my file from Google drive, make a modification and save. The file would then be written back to google drive. Now however, it does not sync back and I have to use the export option. Obviously not the end of the world but it would be nice to have the original workflow back.

Thank you,
Comments: I'm seeing the same problem; when I try to sync my database, I get "Looks like account <my gmail address> was not properly initialized!"

Hi tere!
Each time I open my kdb file (via fingerprint scanner on a Samsung Galaxy S7) I'm greeted with the following error: "key cannot be empty"
The kdb file is correctly opened and view and edit give no problem...

Created Unassigned: Monospace font [612]

In the rare case that I have to manually type a password into a computer while reading it off of my phone, I often get uppercase letter oh (O) and zeroes (0) confused. The same goes for uppercase letter eyes (I), lowercase letter ells (l), pipes (|), and possibly ones (1).

The point is, the font used to display the password should be a monospace font that is designed to alleviate those issues. It should also have as many glyphs as possible for passwords that use the full UTF8 character set.

Possible fonts to use:
DEJAVU SANS MONO (3289 glyphs)
BITSTREAM VERA SANS MONO (269 glyphs)
UBUNTU (1296 glyphs)
INCONSOLATA (359 glyphs)

Monospace fonts that DO NOT distinguish enough between O and 0 (and should NOT be used):
DROID SANS MONO
LIBERATION MONO

My recommendation is therefore DejaVu Sans Mono which is free to use and can be downloaded from here: https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/DejaVu-Sans-Mono

Created Unassigned: Long password display [613]

I recently had an issue where I was copying a long password from my phone into a computer manually, and was getting it wrong because the full password was not being displayed. The password was too long to be fully shown on the small screen and there were more characters that were off the screen that I had no idea were there.

If there could be some kind of marker that lets me know that a password has gone off the screen with the option of either scrolling the rest of the password or wrapping it (taking special care of any whitespace in the password) that would make that issue less common.

Comments: Also... having a special glyph for space characters would also be helpful. When code used to be printed out onto paper and whitespace was important, they would use an open box ( ␣ ) to show where spaces were. This would also be pretty helpful for displaying passwords that contain spaces.

Commented Unassigned: Fingerprint Unlock keeps getting disabled. [605]

I'm having an issue that after enabling a Fingerprint unlock on a DB, after a while it gets disabled. I then have to enter the password manually and enabled fingerprint unlock again in the Database Settings.
Could this be caused by my Tasker profile which removes Pin lock when I connect to specific Wifi networks (using Secure Settings).
I'm not sure if that is the cause because I tested the profile multiple times and the Fingerprint didn't get lost and even when the Pin lock is removed, the fingerprints are still there (in Android Settings/Security)..

Is there a way for me to troubleshoot this? Anyway to get a log file?
Comments: It worked without issues for a while, then a few weeks ago I noticed the same thing, randomly disabled fingerprint. It's happening quite regularly now, possibly related to rebooting (at least in my case.) CM13

I have the german app, so I dont know the exact english strings. Sorry for that.

If I activate the option "Switch back the keyboard after clicked on Search/Go" in the menu Password-Access -> Switch Input Methode, the behaviour of the button "Go" on the minimized (simple) keyboard is incorrect.
It switches the keyboard, but does not fire the webpage to load.
The "Go" button works correct, when the keyboard is maximized.
If the option, mentioned above, is not activated the "Go" button correctly fires to loads the webpage.

I tried to find this issue, but I didnt. An I am wondering that it was not reported.
I hope it can be fixed soon.

Many thanks.

I have no reason to distrust KeePass, but why does it want contacts information?
Comments: this is required by the Google Drive API to work: When you choose to load a file from Google Drive, it will ask you which Google Account configured on your device should be used. To access these accounts, the "Contacts" permission is required.

The Internet-savvy version of KeepPass2Android accesses https://xaapi.xamarin.com which is a) undocumented and b) a server based in Amazon's cloud.

There might be reasons related to the develpoment environment used, but IMO such "hidden" and unannounced connections are at least unlucky!
Comments: This should only happen if you allowed Keepass2Android to send error reports.

Comments: That's a fairly dense design decision by Google, but not something you can do anything about.
